Spoon in Brazilian Teak

This spoon was carved from dense Brazilian teak (cumaru). It is a robust and elegant kitchen tool, ideal for stirring, mixing, and serving. The deep, oval-shaped bowl offers a generous 1-1/4 tablespoon capacity, making it highly versatile for both cooking and serving dishes. Brazilian teak is an exceptionally hard, durable, and decay-resistant wood. It is heavier and harder than traditional teak from Southeast Asia, making it highly resistant to dents and scratches.

The spoon was meticulously shaped by a skilled artisan. The surface is hand-sanded to a soft, satin finish that feels smooth to the touch making it comfortable when stirring thick stews, scooping and serving food.
